Performance ingredients are the difference. The combination of host specific bacteria, digestive enzymes, and yeast, support and maintain a healthy digestive tract.  The ingredients contain:
Seven host specific bacteria
    Lactobacillus acidophilus
     Enterococcus faccium
     Lactobacillus plantarum
     Lactobacillus casei
     Bifidobacterium longum
     Bifidobacterium thermophilus
     Pediococcus acidilacticii
helps ensure the adherence of bacteria to the intestinal lining.  This allows the bacteria to more readily utilize feed as it passes through the digestive tract.
Five digestive enzymes
   Alpha Amylase
     Protease
     Cellulase
     Lipase
     Pectinas
are added to help further breakdown feed fibers and protiens.   
Actice dry yeast and yeast cultures
     Saccharomyces cerevisiae
is added to help fermentation in the gut and also to help provide essential nutrients for bacteria to properly grow and multiply.  Yeast becomes metabolically active, contributing essential vitamins, minerals, and amino acids to the animal.
Performance also contains:
     Aspergillus Orzae
which has been university tested and has the ability to lower body temperature during normal gut activity or stressful times.

Rate of application:
Horses:1/2 - 1 oz. a day (10 lb tub would last one horse 80 - 160 days.)
Cattle:1/2 oz. a day
Goats: 1/4 - 1/2 oz. a day
Dogs/Cats:1/2 tsp. - 1 tsp. a day.
